Delete my account.

Permanent and immediate. GDPR-compliant. Here's exactly what happens.

How to do it

  1. Go to Settings → scroll to Danger zone.
  2. Click Delete… — a confirmation modal opens.
  3. Type DELETE and click Delete forever.
  4. You're signed out and redirected to the home page.

What gets removed

  • Your profile row (name, email, plan, credits).
  • All your generated projects and uploaded source photos.
  • Your credit transaction history.
  • Referral records linked to your account.
  • Marketing consent logs.
  • Your authentication record.

What stays

  • Billing records held by Polar — retained for US tax compliance (typically 7 years). Polar doesn't delete these even if we do.
  • Anonymized telemetry — already stripped of your user ID before retention, so it's no longer personal data.

Before you delete: cancel your subscription

Account deletion is blocked if you have an active or past-due subscription. Cancel via Billing first — you keep access until the end of the current period, then try again.

If a payment failed and you're in the past_due state, update your card or settle the invoice with Polar before deleting.

Can I restore my account?

No — deletion is irreversible. If you sign up again with the same email, you start from scratch.

Want to just pause?

You don't have to delete. You can:

  • Cancel your subscription (keeps your profile, just stops billing).
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails in Settings.
  • Leave the account dormant — no charges without an active subscription.
