Opiniac is operated by Yosuble AI LLC (Albuquerque, NM, USA). All payments are processed by Polar (Polar Software Inc.), which acts as our Merchant of Record and issues refunds on our behalf.
We want you to be happy with Opiniac. This policy explains when refunds are available and how to request one.
01 — 14-day cooling-off for EU & UK consumers
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal on a new paid subscription, as required by Article 9 of the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU (and corresponding national implementations, including the French Code de la consommation, Articles L221-18 and following) and the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. To exercise this right, email us within 14 days of your first payment; we will refund it in full, provided you have not substantially used the service (see credit packs below).
02 — How to request a refund
Because Polar acts as our Merchant of Record, Polar is the legal seller for every Opiniac transaction and therefore the party that ultimately approves and issues refunds. You can request a refund in either of the following ways:
- Email support@opiniac.app from the address on your account with your order ID and a short description of the reason. We review the request within 3 business days and, where eligible under this policy, forward it to Polar with a recommendation to refund.
- Contact Polar directly via polar.sh using the contact details on your invoice. Polar’s consumer-support team can handle the request on their side.
The final decision on any refund rests with Polar in its capacity as Merchant of Record. When approved, the refund is issued by Polar to the original payment method and typically lands in 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
03 — Credit packs
One-time credit packs (50 credits for $9) are digital content delivered immediately. Once any credit from a pack has been used to generate an image, the pack is considered consumed and is non-refundable. This exception to the cooling-off right is permitted under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(m) (corresponding to Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code and Regulation 36 of the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). Unused packs may be refunded within 14 days of purchase.
04 — Annual plans & pro-rata
When annual billing becomes available, refunds outside the cooling-off period will be issued pro rata for full unused months, minus any discount already applied to the annual rate.
05 — Cancellation vs refund
Cancelling your subscription from the dashboard stops future renewals and keeps your plan active until the end of the current billing period. Cancellation is not the same as a refund, and does not automatically trigger one. If you also want your latest payment refunded, request it explicitly by email.
06 — Exceptional cases
Outside the situations above, we may still grant discretionary refunds for billing errors, duplicate charges, or prolonged service outages. These are handled on a case-by-case basis.
